The Expertise behind Food Rules

Julia Shambrook BSc (Hons)

Julia graduated in 2001 from University of Wales, Cardiff, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics. She also has a Sports Science Degree from the University of Brighton.

Since completing her training she has been working in the NHS. An initial focus on general dietetics gave her experience in nutritional support, managing weight problems, providing support for people with diabetes and patients with heart disease. In the last few years Julia has specialised in gut disorders such as IBS and Coeliac Disease.

Julia is a member of the Health Professionals Council and the British Dietetic Association.

This combination of training and experience places Julia in an excellent position to provide great advice that will make a practical difference in relation to many nutritionally related areas of health.

State Registered Dietitian (SRD) . . . what does that mean?

SRD's are uniquely qualified to translate scientific information about food into practical dietary advice. As well as providing impartial advice about nutrittion and health, dietitians can also advise about food related problems and treat ill health.
